Is Your Atmel Chip Genuine?

There are many fake Atmel chips in the world and for most hobbyists it doesn't matter whether your Aurduino Nano has a real on or a fake one installed.  Blinky programs will work just fine on a fake.  For some applications though it's a critial componenet that can cause your project to unexpectedly fail and will cost you many hours chasing a fault, that's not of your own making.  For once.
