Yay! I use GnuCash for accounting and this week I've have several bug fixes accepted into the code. Small controbutions I know but now I feel I can justify using free open source software (FOSS).
I believe there is no such thing as a free lunch and I feel the same about FOSS. It's not often I can contribute to free software whether, it's because I can't be bothered or I don't understand the code. Sometimes I do though and GnuCash is a case in point. I use it because it's a very good piece of accounting software that runs in Linux so it's very gratifying to be able to contribute something back to the project. Get GnuCash for free, don't buy it on e-bay, it runs on Windows and Mac too but is more mature on Linux as that is where (on which) it was developed first.
